I am trying to replace the passenger side exhaust manifold on a 2001 4.6 that i just bought as a tow vehicle for the weekends
I've read tons of posts on here about.
This also applies to 4.6l engine. Here’s a walkthrough on how to swap out your favtory downpipes with the cv fab pipes The kit i installed in this video are prototypes but i would assume the production kit will be nearly. Next, install new lower studs with the manifold in place then install/torque all the nuts
The whole job took a little over four hours and isn't very difficult to do. Another amazing video by ez stud out showing how easy it is to remove broken exhaust manifold studs. Even when the stud is broken deep inside the cylinder head. I just heat up the broken stud with a torch and bore them out at that location
I've found that before even attempting to remove them as long as you torch the flame good and hot they seldom snap and will.
Ngt all it in the truck If the oem downpipe was cut to remove, the ams downpipe will need to be slipped together in the ruck piece by piece I have herd many mixed feelings about the install of the down pipe and some exhaust shops dont even want to bother with it while others want upwards of $200 to install it I have the new 3 in 2.
I'm trying to install my afe 4 exhaust, and i can't get the damn downpipe installed It's hitting the pinch weld on the cab, a hydraulic clutch line, the radius arm bracket, or a combination of. Drilling to 17/64 and turning a m8 1.25 tap, does this work Is there a special tool to tighten the studs that connect the downpipe to the turbo
